Shipping & Returns
This Shipping & Returns Policy is part of the our Terms & Conditions and describes how 1988 Cultivating Spaces deals with shipping and deliveries of orders and returns. We have selected as third-party shipping companies (together, the “logistics providers”) the following: Delivery Solutions SA (“Sameday”) and TNT Express Worldwide B.V (“TNT”).
We do not hold you responsible if our logistics provider is unable to deliver a shipment and reserve the right to advance any charges concerning your order. The responsibility for shipping products lies exclusively with the logistics providers. Please refer to their websites for more detailed terms and conditions of shipment.
Shipping Information
1988 Cultivating Spaces orders are delivered Monday to Friday between 9am and 5pm. As every order is unique, shipping costs will vary depending on the size, weight, and destination of your chosen items. Deliveries to post office box numbers are not accepted. All relevant delivery options available for your order will be displayed at checkout.
1988 Cultivating Spaces processes the order within two business days after the order was received. Once completed, we will ship your order with one of the logistic providers according to their timescale. We will keep you updated with tracking information and estimated delivery date.
Once the products of your order leave our warehouse, the actual delivery may be affected by events that are beyond our control. Thus, 1988 Cultivating Spaces does not assume any responsibility for any delay in delivery due to unexpected logistics-related events.
If any logistics delay occurs, you may send an e-mail to studio@1988cultivatingspaces.com, and we will do our best to contact the logistics company to help resolve the issue.
For time-sensitive deliveries, we may design a tailor-made delivery solution specifically for you. Please e-mail us at studio@1988cultivatingspaces.com to discuss tailor-made shipping arrangements and fees.
Shipping Times
Depending on your location and chosen shipping method, delivery takes 2-14 business days after it is dispatched. According to our logistic providers, we estimate the following delivery times:

Weekend days, public holidays, bank holidays, delays caused by customs or failed payment approval of duties and taxes, delays attributable to compliance with mandatory local security requirements, or other events beyond our control are not included when the logistics provider quotes door to door delivery times in its published literature, though we will try to minimize any potential delays. The route and the method by which the logistics provider transports shipments shall be at its sole discretion.

Duties & Taxes
As we are located within the European Union, there are no duties or taxes for orders which are located within the European Union.
All non-EU orders will be exempt from VAT though goods will be invoiced without VAT, but will exclude any import duties. As the recipient of the order, you must instead pay these duties and taxes directly to the logistics provider to release your order from customs. As we are unable to advise the exact amount, we recommend contacting your local customs office or tax authority before placing an order.
We do not hold you responsible if the logistics provider is unable to deliver a shipment and reserve the right to advance any charges concerning your order. You are ultimately responsible for the payment of duties and taxes and all fees and surcharges related to the advancement of duties and taxes. If you refuse to pay the duties and taxes upon request, the shipment may be returned to 1988 Cultivating Spaces, in which case, you will be responsible both for any original and return charges. In the event the logistic provider forwards to us any duties, taxes, or other fees, or any ancillary clearance service fee, we will advance it to you.
Where permissible by local law, the logistics provider will provide customs clearance of international shipments and may advance duties and taxes as assessed by customs officials and assess a surcharge for doing so. For all shipments, the logistics provider may contact you and require confirmation of reimbursement arrangements as a condition to completion of clearance and delivery, and at the discretion of the logistics provider, require payment of duties and taxes before the release of the shipment to the receiver. In these circumstances, you are responsible for providing all documentation and information required for the clearance or by the logistics provider, and for representing and warranting that all statements and information it provides relating to the goods and the clearance of the shipment are and continue to be true, correct and complete, including the appropriate Harmonized System Code.
We reserve the right at our sole discretion to advance or charge to you with any penalties, fines, damages, or other costs or expenses as requested by the logistics provider, including but not limited to storage fees resulting from enforcement action by any competent government authority, or by your failure to comply with the obligations hereby laid out. The logistics provider may charge ancillary clearance charges, where applicable, on international shipments for clearance processing, for services requested by you, the receiver, or third party, or to recover the costs passed to the logistics provider by the regulatory agency for regulatory filing. All charges for sending to countries where entry is not permitted will be charged to you.
We are held harmless from and against any liabilities or for any costs, damages, or expenses, including legal costs and attorney’s fees that the logistics provider may incur either to you or to anyone else arising out of you being in breach of any of its obligations herein.

How to return
Kindly note that our returns are not free thus you will have to bear the cost of returning the products. You may book a courier of your choice and send the package back to us. Please email us (studio@1988cultivatingspaces.com) the tracking number of the package that you ship in return to us and request a receipt.
Your returned item must arrive at 1988 Cultivating Spaces no later than 14 days after your delivery date. We recommend that you book your return delivery within the necessary time to ensure that it arrives at us within 14 days.

Returns Policy
Returned items must comply with our returns policy:
- Items must be returned undamaged and unused, with all tags attached and the original packaging included.
- If an item has a 1988 Cultivating Spaces security tag or brand tag attached, it must be returned with the tag in its original position.
We reserve the right not to accept any return if the product shows signs of wear or has been used or altered from its original condition in any way or, as an alternative, may reduce the amount of any applicable refund or exchange accordingly.
Refund
Once your return has been received and accepted, please allow a few more days for your return to be processed. We will make the reimbursement without not later than 14 days after the day we receive back from you any of the products supplied. Your refund will be completed via the original payment method excluding the delivery costs. We will keep you updated every step of the way.
